Racial empathies are always funny to me.

Why you ask?

Is my personal belief that if you allow the person who is dishing out those empathies the power to offend you they will not only will they continue but they will also spread their hatred.

When I go to watch a performance either a movie, a play, or even a comedian doing standup. I know what I am viewing is not only entertainment but also a performance.

Maybe I am one of the few that feels that way. I have a hard time calling Michael Richards a racist for the same reason I dont call Edward Norton a racist for is role in the movie American History X.

I feel when you go on stage, regardless of the platform, you are in character. I think the difference between standup is the fact that the spot light can be focus on an audience member. Making it feel more personal.

Do I approve his act?

I am not entitled to approve anything. I am not god and no one should have the right to feel like they can approve something for another person unless you are a parent and your child is under the legal age limit.

I personally feel he lost control and chose the wrong way to piss someone off. I feel his rage and anger over the fact that someone was not participating and enjoying his act got to him. He probably felt the need make that person feel the anger and pain he felt by dishing out the racial empathies.

I know for a fact people think or muffle under their breath a racial empathy either when driving, ordering food, at the DMV, or even calling tech support. It is not right but it is human nature. Although is no excuse for anyone to do that people do it.

That is “Mi” view so send me your hate mail davemora80@gmail.com
